Students awarded the Sustainability Award 2023 by Prince`s Trust Achieve International Malta

This morning, a ceremony took place at St. Michael School Santa Venera, where Grade 11 students Alexia Sant and Kate Oswald, participants in the Prince's Trust programme, were honored with the prestigious Sustainability Award 2023 by Prince's Trust Achieve International Malta. Their outstanding project, titled "Helping Migrant Youths," garnered recognition for its positive impact on the community, commitment to sustainability, and the cultivation of a sense of responsibility.

The project centres around the collection of used clothing, books, games, and stationery to assist those in need. It stood out among other initiatives due to its broad reach within the community, its sustainable practices, and its ability to inspire a greater sense of responsibility among participants. In recognition of their exceptional efforts, the students were presented with a plaque for their school, €100 to be utilized for future Prince's Trust projects, and individual certificates.

Prince's Trust International Achieve is a program that focuses on personal development and equipping 11 to 19-year-olds with employability skills. By taking a hands-on approach, the program empowers students to develop the necessary skills for future academic pursuits and to prepare themselves for the professional world.
