The Senior Sector Science Wing came alive, as our Grade 9 students showcased 27 innovative investigative projects at our annual Science Fair—this year exploring the captivating theme "Paint a Better Picture."
As part of our Community Social Engagement Programme, students impressed parents, peers, and distinguished guests with their scientific curiosity and academic excellence. Working in teams, they presented comprehensive research on diverse topics including artistic resonations, colour illusions, crystals, pigments, and paint dyes—demonstrating not only their scientific understanding but also their critical thinking, teamwork, and communication skills.
Our expert judging panel from the art world included Mr Patrick Calleja, Ms Anna Calleja, Dr Tabitha Dreyfuss, Ms Carla Grima, Dr Nikki Petroni, Mr Jesmond Vassallo, and Ms Alison Zammit Endrich, who evaluated each project's creativity and scientific rigor.
Events like these spark genuine passion for scientific inquiry and may well inspire our students' future career paths.
Congratulations to all participating students on their exceptional work!
Special thanks to our Grade 9 Science Teachers, Lab Technicians, and Head of the Science Department for their invaluable guidance.
We're also grateful to Levo Laboratory Services for their generous support of this event.
