Grade 7 (Year 6) students Edward Busuttil, Luke Mifsud Bonnici, Ida Pace, Scarlett Salt and Emma Montebello recently participated in the High 5 - Junior Mathematics Challenge, organised by the Directorate for Learning and Assessment Programmes, targeting mathematically gifted and talented students in schools across Malta and Gozo.
Further to their nomination, they were mentored by Maths Educator and Head of Department Ms. Marja Darmanin for the Phase 1 Qualifying test. All our students scored among the top performers nationally and successfully qualified for Phase 2!
As a result of this stellar performance they were invited to participate in a series of Maths Workshops which will present them with a range of mathematical tasks that require both spatial and analytical competencies.
