San Anton School, Malta is an independent, co-ed (girls and boys) school, catering for over a thousand students of all abilities, from Kindergarten to the end of compulsory education (Grade 12).

The School is situated in the beautiful valley of L-Imselliet, close to the village of Mgarr, and only a 5-minute drive from the larger towns of Mosta and Rabat. Situated as it is, away from the business and commercial centre of the country, our students benefit from a beautiful, healthy and peaceful countryside environment.

A Word From The Head of San Anton School

The students are back and the school has come to life again after the summer holidays. In the Senior Sector we started off the year with Mass at Zebbieh, followed by a picnic supplied by our new Tuck Shop operators. The students enjoyed the chance for that bit of extra time to be all together again before settling down to the serious business of timetables, lessons and homework. Our Junior Sector also started with a beautiful Mass, adapted just for them, at Zebbieh. Bringing them together for a school activity enabled them to meet all their friends in all classes after the holidays.

We are looking forward to using the new schemes for Science, English and Religion in the Junior Sector. They will provide energetic and fun learning for the children, helping the real world and the classroom to merge. We are at the end of our first week and our Grade 8s appear to be settling down well into Senior Sector having had their orientation last week. The older students, too, are settling in and certainly starting out with determination to do well.

This brings me to another point. This year we are introducing a system of positive affirmation and reward by which we acknowledge the efforts our children make to be responsible members of the school community. There is something for the youngest to the oldest students in the school. We’ll be communicating details later via the website and e-mail system. So watch this space.

All of us at San Anton School are looking forward with enthusiasm to this new scholastic year, its lessons and activities. We hope that for everyone it will be a wonderful year.
