Three of our Grade 12 students; Nicholas Galea, Gabriel Farrugia and Gianluca Gatt, recently represented the school in the Malta Junior Science Olympiads. During this event the students worked on a set of three investigative tasks related to the SEC Biology, Chemistry and Physics content. These 3 students were shortlisted from seven Grade 12 science students through a rigorous selection process consisting of three practical tests held in our school labs.
As a token for their hard work which earned them a good place in the Olympiads, all seven students were treated to a Laser Tag game against the science teachers who were involved in the preparation for this competition.
We have just been informed that as a top ranking school in the competition, our three students will be given the opportunity to carry out a research at the University of Malta as part of the Student Internship Programme.
We wish our students all the very best in their internship and thank all the teachers who dedicated their free time to prepare and assist the participants.
