Biology and Geography Fieldwork

On Friday 25th November 2011, the Grade 11 (Form 4) Students of Biology and Geography were taken on a joint fieldwork trip to Xrobb l-Ghagin Nature Park and Sustainable Development Centre at Delimara as part of their Biology and Geography SEC coursework.

TThe Students eagerly investigated and compared a number of Maltese habitats and examples of biodiversity in the Maltese Islands.

Several activities were carried out which included belt transects, quadrat sampling, line transect and identification of various flora and fauna that are found in the Maltese habitats.

This productive day ended with a refreshment stop in Marsaxlokk and proved to be a fine example of cross-curricular learning.
