Yesterday, all the Grade 11 (Form 4) students spent a full day in Valletta on an outing organised by the Humanities Department. The students visited the Fortifications Interpretation Centre where they learnt how Valletta, Mdina and the Gozo Citadel were built and fortified.
The visit to the newly built House of Representatives created additional excitement, as the students learnt all about the building`s architectural features and had the opportunity to ask the guide endless questions on the parliamentary system.
After a break at the Upper Barrakka, the students worked on a booklet about the various landmarks in the area and the difference in their architectural style.
As a conclusion to a most enjoyable learning experience, the students visited the Valletta 5D cinematic experience which brought Malta`s history to life with a lot of entertaining special effects.
