Throughout these last few months, Alex (as she is affectionately known by her friends) has been through a process of very difficult treatment due to sudden illness. This has unfortunately meant that she could not attend school for the rest of the current scholastic year and she has been sorely missed by all.</p> <p>To acknowledge her strength and courage during these months, the school community wished to award Alexandra a token as a show of solidarity and support. The award and certificate were presented by Head of School Ms. Vicki Anastasi on an initiative by the school`s Department of Social and Emotional Literacy. </p> <p>Later on in the day, students performed a Pantomine in honour of Alexandra, which was in fact penned and directed by her sister Nicola as a form of encouragement.</p> <p> San Anton School believes that education is so much more than academics. With these awards we wish to reward good citizenship and strength of character in our students.
